What to check in the cashier before you deposit
The cashier is the only reliable source for CaptainsBet payment methods in Rwanda, because methods and limits can change. Before your first deposit, check these points for the wallet you plan to use. The last rows are the ones that surprise players who deposit without reading.
Limits on each payment often come from your mobile money provider, not from CaptainsBet. If an amount is refused without a clear reason, check your wallet’s limits first.
What is the minimum deposit?
It depends on the method, and the cashier shows the exact minimum next to each one. We do not quote a single figure, because it can differ between wallets and can change.
Bonuses have their own qualifying amounts. For example, the Sport Welcome Bonus needs a first deposit from around 5,500 RWF, chosen in «See All Bonuses» before you pay. Amounts in RWF are approximate and based on the offer in Ugandan shillings; the exact currency and amounts are shown in the cashier and in each promotion’s terms. Full conditions are on our welcome bonus page.
How to deposit, step by step
Open the cashier
Sign in and tap «Deposit» in the balance menu. If you want a bonus, choose it in «See All Bonuses» first.
Choose the method
Pick a mobile money method from the list, and think ahead to how you will want to withdraw.
Enter the amount
Check the minimum shown for the method and, if you chose a bonus, its qualifying amount.
Approve on your phone
Confirm the payment prompt from your mobile money provider. Enter your PIN only in that prompt on your own phone.
How to withdraw, step by step
Settle any bonus
While a bonus is still being wagered, the bonus funds cannot be withdrawn.
Verify your identity
Upload your National ID (Indangamuntu) or passport if you have not done so yet.
Request it under «Withdraw»
Choose the method offered for payouts, check the wallet number and enter the amount.
Wait and keep the reference
Allow the time shown for the method and keep the request reference and your provider’s SMS.
How long does a CaptainsBet withdrawal take?
It depends on the method, and the withdrawal screen or live chat will tell you the expected time. Mobile money transfers usually arrive quickly once a withdrawal is approved, but we have not confirmed fixed payout times for Rwanda, so we do not quote them.
Keep two stages apart. The first is CaptainsBet’s internal approval of your request. The second is the transfer to your wallet. Your first withdrawal is always the slowest, because it includes identity checks. In Rwanda, RDB-licensed operators withhold 25% of net winnings at payout. CaptainsBet is not licensed by the RDB, so check your own tax position with the Rwanda Revenue Authority.
Which documents do I need to verify my account?
Your National ID (Indangamuntu) or passport, and the operator may ask for more if needed. The request comes at the latest with your first withdrawal, not at registration. Some offers, such as the Birthday Bonus, also require a fully verified account with e-mail, phone and document.
Most rejections come from the photo, not the document. Common mistakes are cut-off corners, flash covering a number, a blurry image, an expired document or a name that does not match your registration. Photograph it on a flat surface, in natural light, with all four corners visible.
Send your document soon after you open your account, so the check is done before you need a payout. Never send money to a personal MoMo or Airtel Money number given by a so-called «CaptainsBet agent», and never pay a «fee» to unlock a withdrawal. Your PIN belongs only in your own phone’s payment prompt. No genuine staff member will ask for it.
Why was my withdrawal refused?
It is almost always one of six reasons, and none of them is final. Once you fix the problem, you can request the withdrawal again. The table matches each cause with its fix.
If you lose access to your account in the middle of this, fix that first on our sign-in help page. Support only handles payment requests made from inside the account.
Can I withdraw to a different wallet from the one I deposited with?
Usually not. Under anti-money-laundering rules, betting sites normally pay withdrawals back to the method and number you deposited from, and the withdrawal screen shows which options you have. That is why you should choose your deposit method with the payout in mind.
If your deposit method cannot receive payouts, or your number has changed, live chat will ask you to add another method in your own name and will check it before paying. For the wider picture on regulation, see whether CaptainsBet is legal in Rwanda.
Fees, limits and currency
Check the cashier for any fee on CaptainsBet’s side. Separately, your mobile money provider may charge its own transaction or cash-out fees under its normal tariff, so the amount that reaches your wallet can be slightly lower than the amount you requested.
Your account currency is chosen at registration and shown in your balance. If it differs from the currency of your mobile money wallet, a conversion may apply on deposits and withdrawals, so the figures may not match to the franc.
Daily and per-payment limits often come from your wallet, not from the platform. Before you deposit more often, set a deposit limit in your settings. It is the most effective brake there is, because it works before the money leaves your wallet. Never use money meant for rent, school fees or repaying a mobile money loan. CaptainsBet payment methods work the same across every part of the CaptainsBet site.
